The Bale Mountains National Park is located 400 Km southeast of Addis Ababa in Oromia National Regional State in south-eastern Ethiopia and one of the sites in Ethiopia listed in the World Heritage Sites List. The Bale Mountains National Park is famous for its magnificent scenery and covered with Afro-alpine consistent forest.

Wildlife and Safaris in the Mountains National Park

Bale Mountains National Park is home to unique animals namely, the Giant Molerat (Tachyoryctes macrocephalus) and including the Simien fox (Ethiopian wolf) and the Mountain Nyala (Tragelaphus buxtoni) that are endemic to Ethiopia and several bird species.
